Price comparison methodology
We preserve the source meaning of a price before deciding whether it can be compared. Our goal is useful comparison without hiding qualifiers, membership rules or clinic-specific weight bands.
Veterinary service prices
Published offers retain the clinic, official source, observation date, species, sex, native weight interval, qualifier, tier and price basis. Standard, care-plan and member prices remain labelled. Fixed, “from”, range and package prices are not silently treated as equivalent.
Medication prices
Medication offers come from current vendor observations. Comparison pages keep the exact product strength, form, species and available pack information visible. Seller links should be checked before ordering because prices and availability can change.
Ranking and “best price”
A lowest-price label is only used among compatible offers. Native dog-neutering bands require a matching weight for ranked comparison. Generic or unknown-weight offers are shown separately, and exact boundary overlaps remain visible.
Freshness and corrections
Every public price displays an observation date where available. An older price is not presented as newly verified simply because another source was checked. See our editorial policy for review and correction standards.
